When a loved one reaches a point in his or her life where, due to either old age or disability (especially in young adults), he or she cannot effectively care for personal, medical, and financial matters, it may be wise to consider a New Jersey legal guardianship.

The term guardianship means legal guardianship. In legal guardianship, a legal guardian is appointed by the court to care for another person. The legal guardian is responsible for making important decisions on the person's behalf and also takes legal responsibility for that person. The court grants them the legal authority to care for the person as well as the person's personal and property interests.
